I was able to qualify for the foreign earned income credit, working for a few years now. But do I still pay CA taxes? No money earned there or time spent in 4 years.

If you're no longer a resident of California, and you have no California-source income (such as rental income from a home located in CA), then you have no income tax obligation in California.  See this CA tax publication for details on how California determines your residency for tax purposes:
