I've read that I can deduct the mileage for charity, but where do I enter that? The help section gave me instructions for 2017, but they didn't work for 2019.

You have to itemize deductions to deduct charitable mileage at 14 cents per mile.

Thanks. I realized that but had trouble seeing how to initiate entering the mileage. It turns out that you start entering it as a new charity donation to the institution, then when it shows options for the type of donation, you pick the one for mileage, which I think was the bottom option.
