I upgraded to self-employed after lumping all travel expenses under Charitable Contributions and see they could be separated (gas, hotels, etc.) there. Need to move?

As long as everything was able to be deducted as a charitable travel expense and too the SAME organization, then it is fine to leave them in one lump sum. On the actual form 8283, it does not have it broke down into those details. The breakdown is just to make it easier to make sure you are covering all the expenses and not forgetting any.
