I sold my mobile home which was my primary residence for a loss. Do I need to report this on my taxes? I did not own the land.

No, you don't report the loss on sale of your primary residence because loss is not deductible - unless you have form 1099-S reporting the sale.

IF you did get the 1099-S form, here's data entry:

  1. Federal Taxes
  2. Wages and Income
  3. Select Less Common Income
  4. Select Sale of Home
