I sold my house in MD and bought a new one in VA. Turbo tax is amortizing the points I paid in VA in error. How can i fix this?

Please go back through the entry screens for that 1098 and be sure you selected BOTH

This is a new loan on which I paid points (origination fees) in 2022

AND

I bought or improved my main home with this loan in 2022

I did exactly as you suggested and it did then remove the amortization of the points. Thank you so much!
