I ran out of time last year and did not get all my deductions of donations filed. Can I still get credit for those and how

If you filed your return without including all of your deductions or donations for 2017, then you can amend your return to include the ones that were left off. They must be filed with your 2017 return and cannot be included with your 2018 return.

They can only be used in the year they were donated. Did you even itemize deductions last year? Standard deduction was 6,350.
