I qualified for the child tax credit why does it not show

The Child Tax Credit is limited to your tax liability.

In other words, if your tax liability is at least $1,000, you will receive $1,000 for the credit. If your tax liability is $500, your credit will be the same amount. If you have no tax liability, you will receive no credit.
