I purchased full support in 2024. The calculations were incorrect. I need support.

I bought a premium package in 2024. My state taxes had to be corrected. I now need support to refile or make corrections, as well as make things right on the product I purchased. I can't find a customer service number or chat to save my life. HELP TT!!

I purchased full support in 2024. The calculations were incorrect. I need support.

TurboTax provides do-it-yourself tax software.  TurboTax guarantees the calculations done by its software.   The information entered into that software is data entered by you, the user.   TurboTax cannot and does not check that information against any outside sources, so TT cannot know if you entered your information completely or correctly.   It is up to you to enter all of your information correctly and completely, and to check your tax return before you file it.  If you forget to enter some income, or enter it incorrectly, enter it in the wrong place, etc. then you may end up owing additional tax to the IRS and/or state.  TurboTax does not pay the additional tax you owe.   If TurboTax’s calculations were incorrect, and you owe penalties and/or interest, then TT will pay the penalties and interest.  The tax due is always owed by you, and must be paid by you.

I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM THE IRS/STATE

 

 

TurboTax does not receive any information from the IRS or your state after your return was filed, so no one at TurboTax knows about a letter you received from the IRS or the state.

while I appreciate your links. The product I purchased was guaranteed and I feel that Intuit should honor the support as advertised. I spent  and hour on the phone with product. finally got to a tax person. disconnected TWICE with no way to reconnect with the text person. Because i filed an extension, TT couldn’t support efiling which is another fail. So they have no way to access my taxes and cannot receive the pdf that i am able to download. HUGE FAIL. I’m going to keep trying but will escalate immediately and until i can reach someone who can actually help me. Meanwhile searching for a real CPA.
