I purchased a new car December 2019, can I deduct the registration fee? Do I have wait for next year to be able to deduct it?

You can deduct it for 2019 if you paid the fees in 2019. Also you may be able to deduct the sales tax on that new car.it may or may not make a difference in your tax return.

To enter sales tax in Turbo Tax:

Select Federal Taxes
Select Deductions and Credits
Select Show More at Estimates and Other Taxes Paid
Select Start at Sales Tax
