I purchased a new air conditioning unit for our home this past year. It is a 14 seer unit, but I can't find where to claim on taxes?

Enter home energy improvement in the Search box in the upper right corner of the program screen.  Click on Jump to home energy improvement

Follow the interview and when on the screen Tell Us How Much You Paid for Energy-Saving Improvements, in the box labeled Energy-Efficient Building Property enter the cost of the A/C unit.  Continue with this section until it completes.

One of your issues is whether it qualifies......most modern homes have split-system heating/AC units and that requires a 16 SEER ac unit in order to claim it
