I pay a yearly city earning tax of 1 percent of my salary a year. Can I deduct that?

I pay a yearly city earning tax of 1 percent of my salary a year. Can I deduct that?

It is listed on your W-2 and already reflected in TurboTax computations as taxes paid.  It is part of the State Income tax deduction on the Sch A Itemized deductions. 

So it does not get entered elsewhere.  I just made a local tax entry on a W-2 and it does get carried over correctly.
