I paid my taxes in my mortgage. My mortgage company did not pay them before the end of the year. Can i still claim them?

It doesn't matter if the property taxes are paid from an escrow account or by you personally, they may be deducted. However, they must have been paid by December 31 or they are attributable to the following year.
