No, you can not deduct the property taxes.  The IRS rules are: You can only take an itemized deduction for taxes you pay on property that you own. If you don't own the property, you can't take the deduction.

No, you can not deduct the property taxes.  The IRS rules are: You can only take an itemized deduction for taxes you pay on property that you own. If you don't own the property, you can't take the deduction.
