I own my home and 2 camp lots. Schedule 2 says months lived there is not between the prescribed upper and lower limits. Are they asking about out camp lot or home?

We live in our home. We do not stay at our camp lot for months at a time

What information are you entering concerning your home and camp lots and what schedule 2 are you referring to?  Post a reply to this thread for help in resolving the issue.

Is this on a state return?  Personal Info section?

Generally, the place you receive mail, have your drivers license associated and otherwise set up a home, would be your home.  This could be your primary home and a camper or just the primary home depending on your situation.

If you have a home in PA where you live from March to September and an RV you travel in and stay in from October through February as a second home, then you would say you lived in PA for 7 months and FL for 5 months.

If you have your main home in PA and just travel the country in a camper and don't actually make a second place your home, then you would say you lived in PA the entire year.

OK awesome thank you. Yes this is on my Indiana state tax return. I lived in my home for 12 months but for some reason I am not able enter that into that field. It is red and will not allow me to enter anything. Now what do I do???

That schedule 2 and resident field is related to either a homeowners property tax deduction or a renters deduction depending on your situation.  Both topics are in the same location in the step-by-step IN state interview.

Return to IN state interview and "Edit" the "Income and Deductions" category. In the "Home" section "Start or Revisit" the Homeowners or Renters topic as applicable.  You will be able to verify/correct the months of residence as applicable.
