I need to insert a business expense (auto insurance) that I know applies 100% to the business (not shared), regardless of mileage driven. How exactly can I do this?

I have a commercial auto insurance for the comercial use of my vehicle and I would like to report this expense for being 100% business use. I also use the vehicle for other purposes, but the commercial auto is required for the operation of the business regardless of mileage driven, ie., this insurance is not used for anything else. The vehicle also has a personala insurance for other uses. How can I force TurboTax to report this? Apparently turbotax uses mileage to calculate this, but I did not track mileage for this business use, and even if I did, they would be irrelevant.

Turbo taxes doesn't use mileage to calculate insurance.  Rather, if you take the standard mileage deduction, you cannot also claim the insurance expense.  What you need to do is, when entering details about the vehicle, continue on through mileage questions, until you get to the section that asks for actual expenese.

1. Go to the self-employed section: Navigate to Federal > Wages & Income > Self-employment income and expenses
2. Edit the business 
3. Choose the pencil icon to the right of your vehicle.
4. Go through the interview, select you want to enter actual expenses, and when you are on the screen Let's get your actual expenses for your vehicle, enter the insurance.
