I need to delete the child credit and the child from my taxes

If you have NOT e-filed you can go to My Info to delete a dependent.

As @xmasbaby0 stated, you can delete that information under the Personal Info Tab.

Please follow the steps below to delete  that information:

1. Click on Tax Home from the Left Side Menu.
2. Click on Personal Info from the Main Screen and click on Review/Edit/Continue.
3. You should see a Personal Info Summary Page. If you scroll down you should see your Child's name. There should be a "Trash Bin" symbol in that row next to the Edit Button. Click on that symbol and this will allow you to remove your child's information.

Once you remove that information, the Child Tax Credit will also adjust automatically.
