I need to change the property tax values in entered in the federal deductions section - how do I do that?

For some reason the property tax value that shows up in review is 2X what it should be - I need to go back and check line by line what was entered.

Yes, it is important to be sure that your property taxes are not duplicated on your tax return.  Below are steps to be brought back to different sections of TurboTax where property taxes could be entered.

Property tax amounts could be entered in the1098 form entry section:

1. With your return open, search for 1098 and select the Jump to link in the search results.
2. Follow the instructions to enter the rest of your 1098 info.

Or directly as real estate taxes in this option:

1. Search inside your program for personal property taxes (use this exact phrase) and then select the “Jump to” link at the top of your search results.
2. Answer Yes to Did you pay personal property taxes in 2018?

Or if you have rental property, your taxes could have also been entered there:

1. In TurboTax, search for rentals and then select the Jump to link in the search result.

You can also use the FORMS mode in the CD/Download versions of TurboTax to see how the property taxes are recorded on the forms in your return by clicking the Forms icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
