I made HSA contributions outside of payroll. In filling out the HSA related questions under deductions and credits, where do I input these contributions.

I have answered all the HSA related questions. But there is no question about additional contributions. I have tried multiple browsers. I have been through the HSA section multiple times, even with turbotax support.

This is how you enter your contribution to your HSA outside of payroll:

1. In TurboTax Online, open your return
2. Click on Search (magnifying glass icon) at the top right of your screen
3. In the Search box, enter HSA and click Enter
4. In the search result box, click on Go to HSA
5. TurboTax will take you directly to the HSA section
6. On the next page titled Select the health-related accounts you had in 2025, check Health Savings Account (HSA) and click Continue
7. On the next page titled 1099-SA Summary, click Continue
8. You will then have a page titled Let's enter your HSA contributions with a box to enter your HSA contributions made outside of payroll.

after step 6, selecting HSA, the next page asks for distribution information.  No, I did not spend any HSA funds.  I only made contributions.  after that it ask me if I was coved by a high deductible plan, which is YES. then it askes of any of these situations apply.  The answer is no.  Never does it ask about contributions.   end of section.   screen shots from today attached.

To clarify, did you make a personal contribution or was it made by an employer?
