I'm not able to access my mortgage tax statement 1098. In the past standard deductions has been my best option. Do I need the mortgage 1098 if not itemizing?

Does a mortgage 1098 even apply if you are using the standard deduction rather than itemizing?

No you do not need to enter the 1098 info if you will not itemize deductions.
