I'm filling out home office expenses and it is asking for 2020 data instead of 2021. Why would that be?

Yes, there is an active investigation. The program will take your information and process it correctly for 2021. Great catch!

Is it possible that you are entering your home office expenses in tax year 2020 instead of tax year 2021?

I don’t see how? I’m only entering expenses for 2021. However when I was taken into the screens for home office expenses it’s displaying the 2019 value and then a field under a 2020 label. Nowhere to enter 2021 values.

That sounds like you are filling out a 2020 return @adk-andrea-gmailThis is the link to file 2021 taxes with TurboTax.  Make sure you are entering there.

I am certain I am not. Every other screen has asked for 2021 data.

Thank you @AmyC ! After a few tries I found that if I enter my 2021 data in the 2020 fields it populates the total deduction under 2021 back on the summary screen. Appreciate your help!
