I'm a US citizen. Foreign income tax exclusion section - Trip info?

I'm a US citizen. For the foreign income tax exclusion section, why does it require a minimum of 1 day for "No. of Days in US on Business" here when I am reporting the days I was in a different country in Asia?

Please leave the field blank.  Do not enter zero.

Just so you know, you only need to enter your trips to the US for Form 2555.  The IRS wants only to make sure that if you are claiming the physical presence test, that you have no more than 35 US days in a 12 month period.

They also need to know the number of US workdays you had for sourcing your income as either foreign or US.  So if you have foreign only trips, they do not need to be entered (unless you want to).
