i installed windows in 2024 but never claimed energy tax credit on 2024 return. can I claim on my 2025 returns?

To claim the credit of your windows, you'll need to amend your 2024 tax return.

If you purchased and installed an item that is eligible for an energy credit in 2024, then that must be reported on a 2024 tax return.  You will need to amend the 2024 tax return that you filed to claim the credit.
