I have the total of medical expense Do I have to break them down between prescriptions doc, and hospital???

I have totals but it would take a lot more work to break them down .  I have had heart trouble so there are a lot of expense and I have a running tap from insurance but it is not broken down between doc and hoptial and test

No, breaking down medical expenses is not mandatory.  Only one, total annual amount for medical expenses that you paid is shown on Schedule A for the IRS purposes anyway. The worksheet reporting the breakdown is for your records, the IRS doesn't receive it.  Just be sure to keep all your receipts/statements supporting your expenses in case IRS ever requests them.

No, breaking down medical expenses is not mandatory.  Only one, total annual amount for medical expenses that you paid is shown on Schedule A for the IRS purposes anyway.
