I have made over $40000 stock donation in Dec 2025, all purchased more than 2 years ago. However, there is no place for me to upload the form 8283.

You need a higher version of online - probably premium. TurboTax does not have a facility to import a PDF of Form 8283. 

If it's a publicly traded stock (PTS), no appraisal is required. If it's not a PTS, the 8283 including the signed appraisal can be filed through the mail using Form 8453.

thanks for helping out! I am already on the online premium version. The donation is publicly traded stocks, and I received 8283 from fidelity. In this case, is the suggestion that 8283 is not needed and I don’t need to upload the 8283 form?

Form 8283 will be generated in your return but you do not need to upload the copy of the form you received. 

For publicly traded stock:

You only need Form 8283, Section A

• No appraisal is required
• No upload is required
• TurboTax automatically fills out and includes Form 8283 in your e‑file based on your entries
• This is why TurboTax Online does not ask you to upload the Fidelity-provided 8283 — the IRS does not require that version to be attached.
