I have lived outside of the US for 327/365 days during 2018 and continue to live outside of the US.

Is there anyway that I can still be considered for the physical presence or bonafide test as I am still living outside the US? I'm 3 days off! Is there any sort of exception I can still qualify for as I'm continuing to live outside the US?

Yes, if you still continue to live outside of the US then you can count these days as well it only has to be 330 full days during the 12-month period. Therefore you could, for example, have the 12 month period from 3/30/2018 - 3/29/2019 if that helps you to meet the 330 days. Please see the picture below Publication 54, Tax Guide for U.S. Citizens and Resident Aliens Abroad on how 12 months periods can overlap.

Please follow the instructions below on how to enter foreign earned income and possibly to qualify for the foreign earned income exclusion:

  3. Click "Federal" from the left side of your screen
  4. Scroll down to “Less Common Income” and click "Show more"
  5. Scroll down to “Foreign Earned Income and Exclusion” and click “Start
  6. TurboTax will walk you through the questions.
