If you have not filed, in TurboTax online, you can return to the Foreign assets/accounts section to edit the information. Here are the steps:
( If you have already filed, you might need to amend only if editing the information would change your total refund.)

The screen that came up for me had only 4 boxes. The box in the middle about joint ownership was not included in the list.
What is your filing status?
My filing status is Single, but the form asked if my spouse had died. I replied that he died 4 years ago, but the software is not adjusting for that. It assumes my accounts are still joint, so does not even give me the box that addresses joint accounts. There should be 5 boxes on the 8938. My screen shows only 4, then automatically checks Joint Account on the tax form.
This is a software bug, and I do not know how to let TurboTax know about it. It happened last year too.
On Form 8938 in Part V, question 3c there is an answer Account jointly owned with spouse, Review the form and make sure that you select 3d for this question. This could be causing your problem.
I ran into this issue also. What I had to do as a work around was to add my late husband as a joint holder in the initial My Info section and then I saw the check box for the joint account in the interview for form 8938. After unchecking the box (since I am the sole owner of the account now), I went back and deleted my husband as the joint filer. Hope this workaround works for you also.
Also, I am surprised the software glitch hasn't been fixed so far even after you made the complaint early 2020.
