I have already claimed the American Opportunity Tax credit for the previous four years. How do I cancel TurboTax from trying to use it for the fifth time? Hello Audit!

1. Login to your TurboTax Account 
2. Click "Take Me To My Return"
3. Click "Federal" from the left side of your screen
4. Click on “Deduction and Credits” tab on the top
5. Scroll down to "Expenses and Scholarships (Form 1098-T)" and click "Edit/Add" 
6. Click “Edit” next to the student’s name.
7. Scroll down to “Education Information” and click “Edit”
8. Answer questions until you get to “Did X Ever Receive the American Opportunity or Hope Credit?” and enter the number of years you claimed the credit.
