I have a Mortgage Interest Credit Certificate and Turbo tax is telling me that the form to claim this credit isn’t ready. (Form 8396) Why?

The IRS forms and schedules that are used in the TurboTax software must be approved by the IRS and use the IRS schema before they are available in the TurboTax program.  Depending on the form or schedule this may take awhile.

I think this is a turbo tax thing. I looked on the IRS site and the form seems to be available there.

Is that just an estimated date? Could it become available sooner?
