I have a 1098 that shows my mortgage interest, but box 10 is empty. Below the form it shows I paid Property Taxes. Is this the same as my real estate taxes?

My home is a condo and I bought it during 2016, so I'm wondering if that's why I wouldn't have real estate taxes.

Yes the property taxes on the 1098 are the same as the real estate taxes. They changed the form in 2016 so it used to be in Box 5 but now it does not have a designated box.
