I have 2 1098 from my mortgage holder, we refinanced. I added the interest together for box 1 but what do I put in boxes 2 & 3 when it's different on the forms?

I have 2 1098 from my mortgage holder, we refinanced. I added the interest together for box 1 but what do I put in boxes 2 & 3 when it's different on the forms?

Don't combine the amounts on the forms. Enter them one at a time in the Your Home section. 

  • Select My Account
  • Tools
  • Topic Search
  • Type '1098' in the box, then select GO

After you enter the 1st 1098, select the 'add a lender' link on the bottom of the summary page to enter the 2nd 1098. Select the 'delete' trash can to remove the previously combined 1098.
