Back taxes paid for tax year 2020 are not deductible and are not reported on your 2021 tax return.

Back federal income tax paid in 2012 is not deductible and is not reported on your 2021 tax return.

If you paid 2020 state or local income tax, those are not deductible either, unless you itemize deductions on your federal return.

Deductions & Credits
