I finished my return, not filed yet but I didn’t see anywhere to enter a 1098 mortgage interest statement and a 1099C.

If you have mortgage interest, property or state or sales taxes, and/or charitable contributions that total more than your standard deduction, you should enter them in TurboTax.

To enter the mortgage interest go to Federal, from the menu on the left, in black.

Choose Deductions & Credits from the menu at the top.

Choose the first category, Mortgage Interest and Refinancing (Form 1098) and proceed through the prompts.

To enter your Property Taxes, choose Property (Real Estate) Taxes and proceed through the prompts.

Scroll down to choose any other deductions that might relate to your situation.

To enter your 1099-C, choose Income & Expenses from the menu at the top.

Scroll all the way down to Less Common Income

Choose the last category, Miscellaneous Income 1099-A, 1099-C and follow the screen prompts.
