I entered my registration fees paid and my refund increased even though my state is not listed as one that allows this deduction. Is this correct?

In many states the "registration" fee itself is NOT deductible. Only that portion of the fee that is a property tax based on the vehicles value is deductible. Not all states have a vehicle property tax. Most states that do will list it separately on the registration bill.

TurboTax only follows your instructions and will deduct anything you enter in the box.  It is up to you to find the deductible part the the fee (if any).  If your state has no such property tax then do not enter anything.
