I entered my property tax value of $8353, and was told I had a tax break, but the Federal Tax Due did not go down on the calculator header?

Congrats, you get a tax break
Property (Real Estate) Tax Deduction
You have now maxed out the federal $10,000 deduction for itemized state and local taxes.
Any entries over the $10,000 limit won't impact your federal tax outcome, but may still benefit you on your state tax return. We'll include them automatically if this applies to you.

But my Federal Tax Due did NOT go down when I entered my property tax.

I do not understand why TurboTax is not reducing the Federal Tax Due but it claims I have a tax break.

Because of this:

You have now maxed out the federal $10,000 deduction for itemized state and local taxes.

Any entries over the $10,000 limit won't impact your federal tax outcome, but may still benefit you on your state tax return.
