Yes, you can take actual expenses, however, read all of below before you do this.
If you get a W-2 this is a job-related expense, and you must itemize to claim this. If you are self-employed in doing this work, then it is a business expense for that business.
If you deduct anything for the car, it needs to be reduced my the reimbursement (if the reimbursement is not showing up as taxable income on the W-2).
The standard mileage rate is 54 cents a mile in 2016. So if they gave you, for example, 50 cents a mile, you could get a deduction for the 54 cents and then it would be reduced by the 50 cents you would be getting, or you can take actual expenses, which would be gas, oil maintenance, depreciation, etc on the car.
You cannot take standard mileage and actual, it is one or the other.
