I drive my car for business and I added the mileage to my return but there is no where to enter how much my employer has reimbursed me.

Please log back in to your TurboTax return.  Go back to your employment expenses and click the button beside Job Expenses for W-2 income.

  • This should take you to the Job-Related Expenses Summary.
  • Click Edit beside your expenses.  Start proceeding through your screens.
  • The screen after Job-Related Expenses (See Screenshot 1) is
  • Reimbursements for your expense (See Screenshot 2).
  • Indicate that you did receive reimbursements.

You will be asked “Did your employer keep meal and entertainment reimbursements separate from your other job-related expenses.  Most employers do this, but of course, I have no idea if your employer did.

Next you will be asked to enter Reimbursements for Meals and Entertainment and again for Other Expenses.  That is where you will enter your employer’s reimbursements.  (See Screenshot 3)
