I completed my return using standard deductions as suggested. I now want to consider making a traditional IRA deduction to minimize taxes I owe. Where do I do that>

If you consider making a Traditional IRA contribution for tax year 2018 before April 15, 2019, you can enter it in TurboTax as follows:

• Click on Search on the top right of your screen
• In the search box, type ira contributions and click on the magnifying glass icon on the right
• In the search result page, click on Jump to IRA contributions
• TurboTax will take you through a questionnaire where you can enter your contributions to an Traditional IRA 
• TurboTax will then tell you if you are allowed to deduct the contribution depending on your income.
