I can't file taxes as it says "we are missing some info like state and zip code" but I wrote foreign and I have been living abroad since 2014. Programming problem?

expat filing problem.  I think it may be a problem with Turbotax itself.

When you entered your address in the "Your personal info" section of "My Info", did you indicate "Foreign or US Possession" for  "2. Tell us the State(s) you lived in"? Also, in the My Info section, under "Ener your current mailing address" be sure you select "Foreign Country" for "Type of mailing address", otherwise, the program will be expecting a US address with a state and zip code.

Yes, I indicated both that i am in a foreign country and that my mailing address is foreign.  It still says I am missing information.

Did you happen to purchase MAX benefits?     If so, did you already pay for it?   If you haven't, then don't yet.

If you chose MAX, it's the MAX consent form that is ultimately looking for "state and zip code."  We can tell you what you may need to do when you report back.
