I am unable to enter multiple donations to a single charity

I am unable to enter multiple donations to a single charity that have different dates. When I open forms it doesn't allow me to type in the information

It is best to enter your information using the step-by-step method instead of directly into the tax forms.  

Using the step-by-step method, you can add another donation to the same charity after your first donation has been entered.

I was using the step by step method but this doesn't prompt me with the date of each donation like it used to and so rather than just going down my list of charitable contributions throughout the year I have to go back and re-compute the total to see if the contribution has already been accounted for. I see on the forms that the spaces are there. In the past I could access them

Yes, I just confirmed that TurboTax Desktop is providing one entry window to report all Cash donations to  a single charity.

It does still provide additional entry screens for donations of items and for vehicle use and other out-of-pocket expenses for each charity, and it provides additional entry screens for each donation of items. It's just Cash that has one entry screen per charity.

On the screen you see when you open the Charitable Donations area in TurboTax Desktop, you will see the name of the charity and the amounts you have entered so far.

• Just below that line, you will see a blue box that has a + symbol and states "Add another Charity".
• Click that button and you will see a new entry screen for the next charity.

In TurboTax Desktop, enter donations using these steps:

TurboTax Desktop

1. Open your return.
2. Go to Federal Taxes.
3. Go to Deductions & Credits.
4. If asked How do you want to enter…?, select I’ll choose what I work on.
5. Next to Charitable Donations, select Visit All.
6. Answer Yes to the question Did you make any donations to charity in2025?
7. On the Donations screen, answer Yes to the question Do you want to enter your donations for 2025?
8. Fill out your donations on the Let’s enter your donations one at a time screen.
9. Once all your donations have been entered, select Done on the Review All Your Charities screen.
