I am filing separately. Who gets to deduct the house and the charitable donations? Me or my husband?

I had a lot of medical expenses this year and I have my own health insurance.  If we file separately, I will be able to itemize and deduct those expenses, as they exceed 7.5% of my income.  But who will get to deduct things that are in both our names, such as the house and charitable donations and summer/winter taxes?

If you are itemizing your deductions on your tax return then your spouse Must itemize on their tax return.

You can both decide how to split the other itemized deductions just as long as the total is not over 100% of the actual expense.

Thank you very much!
