I am entering deductions and have not exceeded std 24000. Where on TurboTax cam I can check current total of itemized deductions? I like to know how close I am to 24000.

Type itemized deductions, choosing in the search box and click on jump to itemized deductions, choosing. You will see a screen that shows both the standard and itemized deductions and allows you to change the type of deduction if you want to for some reason.
