I am a union millwright and I work out of town - is there a standarddollar amount I can calculate for days out of town ?

I worked 101 days out of town and cant find reciepts -- i thought there was a standard # you could use

The per diem rates will be different for different locations (even for different cities within the same state).

You can look up the per diem rate by city/state or zip code here:  https://www.gsa.gov/portal/content/104877.  Do make sure that you change the Fiscal Year to 2016 for rates to prepare your 2016 returns.
