How to claim tieths from church

Enter your tithes to your church under Donations to Charity.

To enter your Donations in TurboTax Online:

• Open (continue) your return in TurboTax Online.
• Click My Account (top right of your screen).
• Select Tools.
• In the pop-up window, select Topic Search.
• In the search bar, type donations.
• In the results box, highlight donations, then click GO.
• You'll land on the Donations to Charity page. Click Yes.
• You'll see money given to groups including religious organizations listed as an Eligible Donation (click the screenshot below to enlarge it for reference). Click Yes and follow the onscreen instructions to enter the donations you made to your church.

Note: If using the TurboTax CD/Download software, you'll use the Find function (instead of "My Account") to search for the topic.
