If you have a child who was born on even the last day of 2017, the child could be claimed as your dependent for all of 2017. When you have a new baby, you say the child lived with you the whole year in My Info so that you get any of the child-related deductions for which you qualify. In order to get EIC you must have income earned from working in 2017.

You will also need her Social Security number.
