if there is a code W in box 12 of your W-2 that represents your contributions to the HSA. buy law your contributions taken out of your paychecks must be reported as employer contributions. to make up for this your taxable wages, box 1 of the w-2 should have been reduced by the amount you contributed.

Until you complete the HSA portion of the TurboTax interview to establish your eligibility for an HSA contribution, TurboTax will treat the amount entered on the W-2 form as an excess HSA contribution.
