The Earned Income Credit is automatically applied to your return if you qualify.  TurboTax will ask you questions about your tax situation to see if you qualify.  In order to qualify for the Earned Income Credit you must -

• Have worked and  earned income under $57,414
• Have investment income below $10,000 in the tax year 2021
• Have a valid Social Security number by the due date of your 2021 return (including extensions)
• Be a U.S. citizen or a resident alien all year
• Not file Form 2555 (related to foreign earned income)

If you leave it off of your tax return the IRS will flag it and add it back on.  It will also delay processing of your return for an extended period.
