The IRS is sending out letter 6419 to you. It will show the amount of advance child tax credit that you received during 2021. Enter the information from that letter carefully. The remaining amount of CTC that you can receive will show up on line 28 of your 2021 Form 1040.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.
This information isn't accurate though. We both logged on to the IRS website and it shows us both receiving the same amounts. But we can't both write in that amount because then it says we received twice as much as we did. I feel like this is a turbo tax formatting error that needs fixed asap.
You and your husband will each get a separate letter, showing how much was paid to you individually. In TurboTax enter the amount from your letter under your name, and the amount from your husband's letter under his name. Enter the exact amount shown in each letter. Do not file your tax return until you get the IRS letters. Since you are claiming the Child Tax Credit, the IRS cannot send you your refund until late February, so there is no benefit in rushing to file early.
You cannot use the amounts from the IRS web site. Wait for the letters. The letters will have your individual amounts.
