How do I know if my child credit was checked?

I forgot to check child tax credit while doing my taxes. How do I fix this?

The Child Tax Credit will be calculated automatically based on your entries if you qualify.

You can see a summary of your tax return while in TurboTax by doing the following: 

  

1. Find the "Tax Tools" option on your left menu bar and click on it 

2. Click on "Tools" 

3. Click on "View Tax Summary"

You don't "check" child tax credit. TurboTax does that for you, after you enter all your dependent's info.  If the child tax credit box is not checked, on form 1040, go thru the dependent interview again and check you answers.  If necessary, delete the child and re-enter.
