The link below, previously provided by holzasago, can be used to find the Manufacturer ID (QMID) as required by Form 5695 (Residential Energy Credits), but be sure to verify the number with the manufacturer before including it on your tax return.
Hi - Hunter Douglas isn’t found here but we have a certification letter that says the product we bought qualifies for a tax credit. Any other suggestions?
If you do not have a QMID (Qualified Manufacturer ID) for your product, you can contact the manufacturer directly to request their 4-digit code. The QMID is assigned to the manufacturer, not the installer.
You can also try checking with your installer for it or it may be on your "Manufacturer Certification Statement," which should list the necessary information for Form 5695, including your QMID.

The best and quick way to find the QMID for your purchased product, is to go to ChatGPT, enter the product/item model, and brand name of you purchase and ask it to find the QMID. It will immediately tell you the Manufacturer for your product was registered to IRS as their Qualified Manufacturer product. If the Manufacturer registered their list of products as Qualified products. ChatGPT will return with a QMID, if not, it will tell you why.
