How do I file an expat with turbo tax? I have been living abroad for 3 years and had a child Feb 2022, so I want to claim child tax credit.

I have gone through the whole process of filing with turbo tax and got to the end, but I feel like I've not opted for the correct options as it says I'm not eligible for A return, even though I'm eligible for the child tax credit. Can I file an expat with turbo tax? Should I file somewhere else? First time filing abroad, and for a child.

Did you exclude all your foreign income on the return? If so you have no taxable earned income in order to get the child tax credit at all which is why it's not showing up on the return.

Ya that must be it, but I didn't have $10,000 in my account at once at any time in the year and that's the only question it's asked me about my wages.
